Ray is a charter member of Lair No. 3 and a signer of the Lair No. 3 charter. He completed his Rascal's Challenge at the 4th Quarter 2003 meeting. Ray was awarded the Rascal o' the Year trophy at the 2005 Lair No. 3 Ball. He won the Mass Challenge competition and Jonathan Zerze Landgraf Medal 2009 [Tribla Rites of Passage / Amish and Rumspringa], 2013 [Build and Race a Boat / Backyard Pool Special], 2016 [Real Life is Stranger than Fiction, Tales from 97 Years Before You Were Born / History of Brandywine Lane], and 2017 [Build a 20-Cigar Humidor / "My Last Cigar" Humidor Book]. He attended a total of 70 RR&R meetings. Ray died on December 2, 2020.

Raymond John Hull Jr., age 72, of Alexandria Township, N.J. passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at home surrounded by his family. Born November 27, 1948, in Newark, N.J., he is the son of the late Raymond John Hull Sr. and Lorraine Hull (nee Ritt).
A 1966 graduate of Our Lady of the Valley High School in Orange NJ, where he met his high school sweetheart and future wife, Constance. Raymond played center on his high school football team and was a member of the National Honor Society. Raymond and Constance married in 1971. He continued his education, earning his B.S.M.E. and graduating Magna Cum Laude from the Newark College of Engineering in 1970. While there he was Vice President of Tau Kappa Epsilon Social Fraternity, and a member of Pi Tau Sigma and Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Societies. He then went on to complete his M.S.M.E. at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in 1974. Last, he attended Seton Hall University for his M.B.A. In 1982, Raymond and Constance moved to their current residence in Alexandria Township, N.J.
Raymond spent forty-one years working at Johnson & Johnson and retired as a Senior Engineering Fellow. He had 56 patents, of those some still pending. During his time at J&J, he was honored with the Philip B. Hoffman Research Scientist Award for developing a new technology to manufacture adhesive bandages. Since then, this technology has become the dominant platform worldwide.
He often took interest in something, studied it, and mastered it quickly. He had a voracious love for reading, learning, and "searching for that interesting thing". He excelled in many trades including woodworking, blacksmithing, and beekeeping. His hobbies also included motorcycling, automobiles, skiing, golfing, gardening, playing bagpipes and didgeridoo, rebuilding farm and construction equipment, sculpting, archery, heavy fighting (sword and shield), brewing and winemaking. Having visited 32 countries, Ray was a true world traveler. He was actively involved in many organizations including MENSA, Morning Thunder Motorcycle Club, Rascals Rogues and Rapscallions, Society for Creative Anachronism, American Motorcycle Association, Porsche Club of America, Somerville Ski Club, Irish Setter Society, Artists Blacksmithing Association of America and the Guardian Warriors Charitable Organization.
Raymond was a devoted husband, proud father, and adoring grandfather. Of all of his achievements, his family was his most precious accomplishment.
Raymond will forever be missed by his loving wife, Constance Hull; sons, Raymond J. Hull III, and wife, Christina of Asbury, N.J., Roger B. Hull and wife, Kimberly of Ottsville, Pa.; grandchildren, Annabella, Evander, Raymond IV, Adelene and Hazel; and sister, Patricia Hull of Manchester, N.J.
Gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at the Martin Funeral Home, with limited capacity and face masks are mandatory due to current COVID-19 restrictions.
